Default Anyone looked at the new NOSzle system?

I was looking through the NOS catalog online, and am kind of intrigued by this setup. Basically, they have individual fittings that go around the injectors. When activated, they supply nitrous and fuel just like a direct port setting.

If this works, you could basically setup the equivalent of a direct port system on ordinary LS1/6 manifolds. I am not sure which fuel injectors this system is compatible with, but it definitely works with SVO injectors, which a number of us use. Any thoughts?

Here is the link to check it out:

technically that is a direct port system. I noticed that same thing in a magazine just a couple days ago and they look impressive.

I've seen that setup in the Summit catalog. I may call NOS and talk to them about it. Looks very nice and no drilling and tapping of your intake.

My friend at Bosche (SP?) and I were talking about those. Evidently, they can change the geometry of the fuel injector pulse... more or less pulling it up higher. He says you can compensate with another style injector (which he happens to work on) which has a different spray pattern (it's longer vs. stock) and that would keep things happy. He gave me a web page, but I deleted that e-mail a while ago, which gives good diagrams as to what he was talking about (I don't do it justice).

I'm sure a lot of people are gonna agree with me on this one.

When I seen the prototypes of this setup almost a year ago, I kicked myself in the *** I dont know how many times for not thinking of that exact same thing myself. I mean c'mon it almost makes you wonder why that wasn't the way FI nitrous kits were designed in the first place? the guy who thought up this idea is gonna be rich thats for sure, no longer do you have to drill seperate holes in your manifold to put jets or run a big spider looking like mess of lines to have direct port. Kudos to whoever designed this system, yet another one of those "why the hell didnt i think of that" inventions lol

I spoke with the guys from NOS tech the other day about this kit. They said it is possible, but if you noticed our injectors are in at an angle, going opposite ways, so in order to do it you would have to cut the ceter cross bar and connect it w/ rubber fuel line, and get some specila little relocation brackets made for the fuel rail bolt down points. He said the did one there in the shop, it works, but their personnal oppinion was alot of tedious work. The Mustang is a direct bolt on cause the in jectors are directly vertical. I personnally feel like all the tedious work in the world is worth it if it is done right. He said the kit was so expensive cause the little injector cups have a NOS "cost" on them of around 60 dollars ea. and we need eight plus all the fixens of a normal kit, plus a distribution block and some cheater sloenoids. Anyway thats all I know about the kit. If you ever call NOS tech, ask for SEAn he has an '01 f-body so he is real intune w/ what works and whta dosen't for us.

A guy here in tampa, FL bought one for his 2V stang and it looks nice! The setup is really trick. Also pretty clean looking even though there is a web if lines.

He said it hits really nice. He is running a 100 shot. I dno't know if NOS uses RWHP or FWHP to guage there kits though...

BioChem,
You are the dude. Thanks for posting that link, it will be used. I've just finished two books on Bosch Fuel Injection. The first one is titled "Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management", and the second one is "Corvette Fuel Injection" both are by Charles Probst. The are available from www.bentleypublishers.com

It would seem to me that this would be the better method of delivering nitrous to these engines with our type of injection design. I don't like wet kits because our engines were designed to use a dry flow manifold, and they were never designed for a fuel to flow in them. I haven't been to crazy about the dry kits because they shoot the nitrous through the MAF and I don't imagine that would be too good on the element inside the MAF housing. They are both decent methods that work, and I have seen alot of people use em' with good results. By the way whats' the part number on the fuel pump that can handle up to 500hp? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

We just finished the install on my 2001 Lightning. Added a stand alone fuel system useing a 3 gallon fuel cell and an Aeromotive A1000 pump & regulator.

Our system is a 2 stage set up with a fogger nozzle for the first stage going thru the blower, set up for 50hp for now to cool the intake charge (can go up to 150hp), and the NOSzle system is the second stage set up for 200hp. It is all controlled by a progressive controller.

We were hoping to test it last night but...it rained us out at the track, so we will have to wait until next friday night.

I will try to post some picks
