Default Doing nitrous w/95k on the odometer?

I am thinking about doing a 100 dry shot on my car and i have 95k miles on it. Would this just be a disaster and shred the **** out of my motor, or how long would my car hold up to this if i did.

if you are the one that put 100K on it and changed your oil correctly you will be ok. if you bought the car used, it is possible that the original owner did not maintain it properly and you might spin some bearings with the spray. another thing you would have to think about with that many miles is carbon build up on the pistons. this could cause serious detonation with N2O use. although you can remove this by decarboning the engine.

I would start with google.com on this one, but this is what I’ve heard.

Get the engine hot, hold it open at about half throttle and spray a mist of water into the TB.

Would I ever do this? No, but that’s what I was told by a tech at a mech shop.

Default decarbon

most shops have BG or similar induction cleaners that work well. they atomize chemical cleaners under pressure through a nozzle at the throttle body and it runs for about 5-10 minutes. or more of a pain in the *** you can soak transmission fluid in the cylinders for an hour or so with the spark plugs OUT!! using a oil squirter (which should be changed with fresh colder plugs anyway). after its soaked turn the motor over plenty of times till all the fluid comes out. i seriously doubt carbon deposits will cause problems though IMHO.

sorry so late to post but the BG throttle body cleaner is the second to the best way. just spray it throught the intake like nuckifuts said. BG is one of the best chemical cleaners out there and is used in the dealership were i work at.

if your wondering what the absolute best way to remove carbon from the engine is, then you have to remove the heads and clean it manually with the same can of BG throttle cleaner and a wire brush.
