Nitrous with 11 or 11.5:1 compression?
I am putting some new heads on this weekend and they are the TEA stage 2 5.3's with 62 cc chambers.. should put me around 11 or 11.5:1 compression.. I was just wondering for in the long run.. what would be a safe shot to run on my car? Would a wet kit be alright spraying a 50-100 shot? I don't wanna be to hard on my stock bottom end.. Anyone spraying with a similar set up?
I'm not looking to spray a lot.. just a safe shot to gain a little mroe power when i need it
Thanks

Put some NGK TR6 plugs in it. Buy the Timing Tuner from Tbyrne. It is a plug and play system so you can retart the timing. I would pull 2-4 degrees back for the 100 shot. Run 100 octane gas in it to be on the safe side.

Alright cool... would stock GM head gaskets hold the 11.5 compression with a 50-100 shot of nitrous with a timing tuner, TR6's, and 100 octane gas? or would i definately need some aftermarket stronger head gaskets?
I'd still of course buy all of the safety equipment for the kit.. like the Fuel pressure safety switch and a new intank pump..
I'll definately throw one on over winter as long as the GM head gaskets can hold all of that pressure? Let me know! Thanks

awesome! i'm probabaly going to save for it over winter and have it on for spring so i can shoot for a 10 sec time slip..
The only concern was having the stock GM head gaskets on and not some $90 a piece aftermarket gaskets.. Is that not a big deal? Thanks for the replies!

I would just stick with the stock GM MLS gasket. I made 648rwhp 700rwtq with no issues useing those gaskets. I also used ARP head studs im sure that makes a differance. That was a 225shot btw, on a stock bottom end.

Mine is pushing 11:1 and I spray 100 shot TNT on pump gas all the time. I run 24* of timing and TR-6 plugs. And I also have GM MLS head gaskets. You'll be fine as long as your tune is on and your fuel system is up to the whole packages needs.
