their is no such thing as safe N2O but in my oppion a wet kit would be safer if thats what your looking for. in addition i have a 100 NX wet kit on my 95 T/A and i get about 50 1/8 mile runs to the bottle a buddy of mine has a 100 dry kit on his mustang and only gets about 12 runs on the same track.

50 1/8 mile runs?!?! How big is your bottle?

codewhitfield, with all the right safety equipment you should have no problems.

You should be OK with 100 shot. Just be sure you get the safety devices that go along with it to protect your motor such as:

1) Fuel pressure safety switch
2) RPM Window switch

Also make sure you get your motor custum tuned so that it doesn't run in a lean condition with the nitrous.

The ONLY way that would be possible is if you had a MUCH larger bottle than his....In reality, if both N2O kits are jetted for the same power to the tire, they will use almost EXACTLY the same amount of N2O.

A dry 100 kit from Dave is safe very safe, and doable on your car all day.
For the misinformed who stated wet is safer, try to find someone who has lifted thier intake/hood with a dry kit, you won't. Know try to say that about a wet kit, you can't, so saying a wet is safer is ridiculous.

Not to start an argument or a debate, but answer this question. Why do we see threads and video of the destruction that a wet hit can cause and we don't see this pertaining to dry?

Id say it has something to do with the popularity of wet kits.

Ive seen a dry hit blow the lid off before. Spray a 200 rwhp dry hit below say 1500 rpms and please take a video.....

...and the answer is, because it doesn't happen on dry hits, period. I have been stating for a few years, on a couple sites, try to find someone who has hurt their motor running a 5177, no takers yet. Furthermore, the 5177 is the most popular dry kit, and on of the most popular kits concerning wet or dry.

I had the n20 stick on a run and bottle went from about 1000psi to 600psi and was still spraying on the return lane. No problemo, hurt nothing and continued to race after fixing wot switch (it was taped down and drove to track with it spraying both stages above 3000rpm, try this with a wet kit.

Those explosions were caused by Improvised Explosive Devices (IED's) planted by terrorists, and absolutely cannot be linked to the use of any of the fine "wet kits" out there.

GM had in fact planned for these new intake manifolds to be designed specifically to handle the fuel flow from these wet nitrous kits. (It was an insider deal between N2O kit makers and GM)

I'm sorry Robert, but you were just left out of the loop on this information. It was an honest mistake for you to assume that the overwhelming amount of reported failures with wet kits proves that they aren't as safe as a dry system.

I'll let it slide this time.
