The AR51 is a gasket type plug. Check it out.
Just make sure the reach is correct in your heads.
The AR51 isn't a step or two colder, it's pretty much the bottom of the barrel. I can tell you that they will take a hard beating.
The only downside is that they foul quickly under street driving conditions, so you have to pull them and clean them fairly often.

I am running the -8s myself. I want to say I was told the -9 should be cold enough for a 300 shot, but I may be thinking of a -10.
