Default Sprayed Today 100 Shot A4 C5 (hot out, ?'s)

Drove 2001 C5 Corvette on tollway to test out my 100 Wet Shot shot. I wanted to make sure it is working correctly and have some querstions... Have sprayed 3 or 4 times before, so I know how it feels, but haven't in about 2-3 months and was paranoid that something wasn't quite right. It felt kinda weak so I just wanted to make sure.

My set Up:

-NX Dual Nozzle Wet Kit
-100 N2O Jets, 150 Fuel Jets (to be on the safe side)
-22 degrees timing (know it is low, got a new engine so being safe)
-FPSS
-NX TPS (WOT Switch)
-MSD Digital Window Switch Set ON at 4,200 OFF 6200

Car Set Up
Yank SS4000 Torque Converter (getting a SS3600 soon to replace it)
Stage II Heads 66 cc
228/228 .588/.588 114 LSA Cam
Headers and all the other stuff!

My Bottle Pressure was only at 950. It was hot, but had the air on, turned it off, but I only could get it to about 950 cause I was getting inpatient. Didn't have my Heater connected.

Was 100 degrees out, and climbing very hot!!
Slowed to about 45-50, was at 2200 RPM's, hit it WOT and it took off, but felt like it was sluggish. It slipped up to a higher rpm (kinda like the tranny was slipping, but it wasn't, it is just the TC because I was barely gassing it, then floored it and the converter went into action) , then it was just going up slowly from 4,500 to 6,200. It seemed to take forever to climb to 6,200, like 4 or 5 seconds. I would have thought on the spray it would have went throught the RPM's much quicker. That is why I was concerned. I also noticed on the 1st spray my Traction Control WASN't Turned OFF

OK, then got smart and turned OFF TC and sprayed it the 2nd time again from a 50 roll. This time it was only at 900 PSI I definately felt it more that time, but it just didn't have the kick to it.

My questions:

1. Was this due to my low Nitrous Bottle Pressure??
(Is 950 that much worse than the reccomended 1,050?)

2. How can I ensure that my nitrous is working (Dyno??)
3. Is there a way I can TEST my nitrous to make sure it is at least spraying correctly and the FPSS isn't turning it on and off etc etc etc..
4. Is spraying in the HEAT make the car run slower on nitrous?

I just wanted to share my experience and to see what you guys say. I mean I know it sprayed, just seemed a little weak and as YOU GUYS KNOW there is nothing worse that no knowing 100% if your car is working like it is supposed to.

I am not too worried, but just wanted to get feedback from the Nitrous Experts on this Great Forum

Thanks

The Bandit....................

my assumption is low bottle pressure...small n20 jet, and large fuel jets you were pouring gass out all over the place...normall when people go really safe they only put in a 25 shot bigger fuel pill, so a 125 fuel pill with 100 n20 jet

I sprayed it again at 1,050 at 8:30 pm and it felt better. I think it was the pressure and the jetting. I ma going to put back the 100 fuel jets.

I was reading a post (unrelated) and a guy said his tach climbed slowly with his big stall, that is what I was aying!

I have a Yank PT4000, and when I hit a 175 shot, the RPM's jump to a little past 6000 and SLOWLY creeps up (on the tach)...however, the mph goes REAL fast!!!

I was on vacation, just got back, getting new tranny and smaller TC, SS3600.

Love to go and will contact you in the next few weeks after I break in the converter.

I think the 150 fuel jet is not a good idea. To rich is not always safer. And it would definetly explain why it didnt hit as hard. With that little timing you are already really safe. Id leave the 100 fuel jets, nx is a great company, they have done their testing regarding fuel and nitrous mixture.

Yeah,

I think your right. My car dynoed (through a 4,000 stall)

N/A 391 rwhp & 370 rwtq (but the tc is the reason for the lower numbers)

On the Bottle it dynoed 480 rwhp & 479 rwtq with a 100 shot and the A/F Ratio was 11.2

11.2 is probably too rich?????????????????????????????
