Default 14168nos bottle opener problem

I have a brand new NOS bottle opener (the one that turns the ****) and when purging the lines clear the opener will rotate open and then closed on and off...refilling the line. Nitrous isn't the cheapest and the opener was not cheap either. Kyle at NOS recommended that I raise the opener off the **** just a little bit. I have tried it several ways and it just keeps opening and closing on its own (when purging the line out).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

I want to make sure that I'm understanding correctly. When the opener is off/closed and you purge the system the opener cycles open then immediately closes. Is this correct?
Can you send me a schematic or a description of the wiring at the switches?

Correct. My switch has a ground, signal on (blue to control box), and a + switched 12v source. I unplugged the blue wire and had a friend keep pushing the purge (on, off, on, off, etc) and even with the blue (signal) wire unplugged it will eventually cycle the opener on then off. I put a voltage meter on my signal wire from the switch and am getting no voltage jumps or anything. I think the control box may be bad. My ground for the box ties in with the ground for my heated bottle bracket. My constant battery voltage wire (for the control box) is direct from the battery on its own wire. Something is making the opener spin open then immediately closed when tapping the purge button.

Sounds like there might be something wrong in the box. Send it to me and I will get it checked out and fixed or replaced.

Yes, thanks to his badassness I have this upgraded opener compared to the solenoid style I originally ordered from Chris at Nitro Daves. I just need one that works now LOL

Yeah I have had ran into problem after problem getting this car setup. One thing I do like is the 593 ft lbs of torque on a 100 shot!!!! I have no doubts Kyle will get this fixed...I just think its crazy its been issue after issue!!!

I am hoping this control box is the problem. Its the only thing I can think of that can make the opener operate when there is a slight voltage drop/spike when hitting the purge. I even unplugged the blue control wire to make sure it wasn't the signal wire. There must be something in the box going wrong when the full battery wire is getting voltage differences (when hitting the purge).

Thanks for your great customer service every time I have called!!

Oh ya and Dave if you talk to Chris tell him to post up some pics of his car with the CCWs on it. He told me he would a LONG time ago LOL.

I believe everything is good now. I just installed the replacement control box (mine had a short in it) and it seems to be working.

Thanks Kyle for the great service!!

Glad everything is working. What do you think of the new design and the LED?
I think you got the first one.
