Default Need info on 200 shot

got a 02 convert TA with 40k miles on. have a zex 150 wet shot with TR6 plugs. Wanting the 200 shot and was wondering if my stock fuel pump is enough. tryed the 200 shot with ac delco plugs(2 stages cooler) and burnt the ground off couple of plugs and car did not perform as good as 150 shot. have since put Tr6 plugs and 150 pills back. anybody running a 200 shot w stock fuel pump?

I have no tune but have had trany rebuilt/and put 3.73 true track in rear.

I have one of the flash programers that allows me to retard the timing as per zex specs.

car has run 11.85 in 1/4 mile on spray with me having to feather out of hole.

any advice is appreciated this is my first time with n2o.

supposedled stock pumps are good for aound 500hp. could be a give or take of 100hp so it will vary by cars. you'd have to log data to see where you're at.
especially with a 40k mile motor, i'd spend the cash on a fuel pump and do some data logging.
racetronix pump kits are on sale right now for $207 shipped.

My personal experience is that my stock pump wouldn't even hold with a 100 shot (100k mile car). Plus your injectors are going to max out as well, which will cause the car to lean out on fuel and thus create a much more costly situation. Your lack of a tune is going to cause problems too becuase your A/F ratio is not close to what it needs to be for a nitrous pass and your timing really needs to be set by someone who has more knowledge tuning a computer for spray. Just my .02. I would rather be safe than sorry. I sprayed a 150 rwhp shot on my car and blew the head gasket. Also, you can buy a walbro in tank kit from Texas Speed and Performance for about $120. Hope this helps.

I don't no if its the same on a f-body as my 02 zo6 but i was making 580rw with 150 shot with the stock pump with stock injectors that is win i had the stock ls6 with H/C. Now i have a 408 and still have the stock pump but 42p injectors and make 550rw and it's fine, but i do have a nitro dave stand-alone for the 300 shot. but the frst thing to do is go get it tuned and see whats going on!

Stock pump and tune for a wet shot is usually good to a 150 shot. ANything above a 150 shot a high flow pump needs to be installed and also a custom tune where you retard the timing a bit for the added pressure. I definitely wouldn't be running a 200 shot on a stock tune or bottom end. Your running on very short borrowed time.

x2... you can run 200 shot with a tune, but not on the stock tune.
also you will need a new fuel pump to handle it.
I have heard though that the injectors will handle it, they will be at around 90% duty, but they can handle it... depends I guess on the injector itself also.

you should always upgrade your fuel pump when you spray anything more than a 100 shot. its just general rule of thumb.

as for injectors if your running a wet shot you will be fine but if dry anything over 100 you want to upgrade your injectors

also should always tune it for any shot over a 100
