Stop clinging to your guns and religion..
"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

I don't know exactly why, but I'm sure it has to deal with the process or registering a gun in your name. I just bought my first hangun, which required a BG check. The gun is apparently registered to my name in Colorado now.
You can't even buy a stripped lower receiver legally on the interwebz. You HAVE to go through a dealer for it.
I would think that ammo and gun parts (except the "lower" for guns) should be able to be sold. I think this is where site owner(s) discretion comes in.

That's incorrect information. Private sales in most states are perfectly legal without a background check. Shipping the firearms is generally the only real concern (they must ship to and from a FFL holder). I simply wouldn't buy/sell privately over the internet because I generally require the people I'm selling to/buying from to prove that they hold a FFL, CHP, or are Military/Police.

When buying a gun don't you have to ship to an FFL ?
or is that only brand new guns?
I thought the process was apply for model of gun at local PD, have gun shipped to FFL, take gun to get registered back at PD. ?

Thats the problem now-a-days. Everyone tries to blame everyone. They are afraid of getting blamed for something, when in actuality the site would have done nothing wrong.

It depends solely on state law. For example Florida does not require registration of privatey sold guns but when you buy a gun new from the dealer you must register it. I've personally never registered a gun and that's totally legal. I just keep all bills of sales from any guns I have sold or purchased. Shipping a gun must be shipped from a ffl licensed dealer to a ffl licensed dealer and that is a federal law, all states obide that. Generally the easiest way to ship a gun is to go to a gun store ad have them ship it to a gun store local to your buyer. But again I've never done this, I think it drives up the price too much since it generally costs around 50 to ship.

Well I work at PayPal and they dont allow it either probably for the same reason. I believe like another has stated a main reason its not allowed is if the firearm purchased from this site is used in any criminal activity Adrian could possibly be liable for the aid of the criminal act.
