I think PIR is running late night drags for most of October so there's still plenty of time to get out there. I'm not running this weekend but I'll probably be out there next weekend once I get some tweaks made to the suspension. If you're up for it, let's go racing next weekend. The weather forecast for next weeks looks awesome so far.... Heck if the weather is really nice next weekend, I might just go out there Friday and Sat.

Anyone else up for racing next weekend?

Mike

I might go next weekend also, can never get enough time at the drags. I don't think I've ever personally met any of you guys, though I've seen a few of the cars. Looking forward to doing that.

I can make sat next weekend, I work 6pm to 6am fridays. Ill make a pass or 2, but Ill be no challenge for that monster. I haven't got any engine mods yet , but I'd like to see where she's at in the 1/4 before I do anything serious. I've got a A4 any pointers would be nice, I'm a first timer.

so i ended up going to PIR last night lol it was soooooo dead i def got my cash's worth 11 runs to be exact .There was a few hard cores out tho prostock and prostreet style cars and trucks running there was a Twin Turbo blue third gen there ran a 8.3 at 170..i ran by my self most of the time i got beat by a sweet charger that was running 12.3's and a SRT8 cherokee that ran 12.8 at 105. for my first time ever out i wasnt expecting to prolly get to where i wanted to be as far as ET's went but i got sortta close my first run was a 14.0 with traction contol on lol i forgot to turn it off..i was having issues the whole night with 2 things lol launching and the lack of a clutch return spring...lol but any ways two runs later i netted a 13.87 @105Mph with a 2.388 60 foot time! lol sooo bad! i lowerd my tire pressre and decided to start burning out instead of driving around the burn out box. i beat a turbo civic and a supercharged buick century and my last kill was a beretta with slicks on that ran a best of 13.9 lol idk what the hell that thing was on but for a piece like that..not bad..but in the end i managed to get a 13.7 out of vickie at 106MPH with a 2.275 60 foot time i was loosing easily 2 to 3 tenths on my starts i figure.. i also think i could wrap out third and not have to shift to 4th b4 the finish line and i might be able to save a little time aswell but i had a blast and i really am pumped now to practice my starts and im putting in my headers asap and mabey some cheaterslicks!

Raced a C5 from a the light the other day in the 79 z28... lost but hung at his rear quarter all the way til 70 then he let off. Good thing too if we had to go to 85 or 90 he would have killed me bad and I might have thrown a rod as well 160,000 on the ole girl and red-line is like 5000 rpms.. I was a bit over that trying to keep close in 2nd gear.. damn 3 speed auto and 373 gears
