Anyone plan on going to PIR tomorrow night? I'll be there and the weather is looking good. Tyler, Phill, Eric anyone else gonna make it out there? There are not too many more weekends of racing left this season. I'm still gunning for that elusive 10 sec timeslip lol...

Is it cutting out on you at high rpm? Or just all the time. Cause I also had bank problems as well and thought it was the spark plugs, but turned out I had 5 bent push rods.

hey mike I wish I could go to but living in Keizer is a pain in the *** cause I would have to go pick up my girl cause she wants to be there to, wich I can understand, an it close to the end if the year to have to pay that yearly fee for the first time. But good luck to you I'll be watching online.

just so you know, no matter when you buy the yearly pass you get the same amount of racing days. if you bought it on the last night, you would have til the last night next year.... if you bought it on the first night this year.. youd have to buy it on the first night next year..
lil better for ya if ya do decide to go!

It's 35.00 for the first time, and then 25.00 each time after that to race for the rest of the year. I guess the yearly pass is 10.00.

So here is a thought. What u guys think? Pull my motor, cause it has 148k on it, and stroke it to a 383 or 408, or just go and buy one? I wanna run a 150 to a 200 shot in it, and was wondering what would hold up better to that big of a shot?

Biggest displacement you can go with a stock bore LS1 is 383, after that you'll need to re-sleeve the block, then just about any displacement is possible. The 402-408's are usually 6.0l iron truck blocks, and I think Brandon has a 408 in his car. If you're gonna go with an GM Bowtie LSX block, go with a 427 or 454 and don't waist the LSX block on a smaller displacement.

FWIW, the 408's with the truck blocks are probably the best bang for the buck out there. Good displacement and plenty stout enough to handle what you want to do with it. The only downside is the added weight of having an iron block.

Tell me about it man. My current LS1 block is already setup to go 427, just need a stroker rotating assembly. That was the winter plan, until the layoff came.
