Wow man. I hope you didn't wash out the cylinder/rings. Have you done a compression test on that cylinder?

When he stomped on it, nothing great, just like a normal car lol. But the thing i found hilarious about the whole ride was our conversation. His name is Robbie... So Rob what do you have done to this car. Oh new exhaust, ordered a Saleen front bumper, comin in the mail, short shifter, put a little barb-wire around my license plate. Wow man thats badass, how much HP is it puttin out? Around 290-300. I thought you said it was pretty much stock? Ya i did but the new exhaust really puts it up there. I also have a Stage 3 racing clutch in it when i bought it. nice dude what brand of clutch? uhh..? Stage 3, duh. haha oh gotchya... But ya my friend gonzales, he told me for $1000 he will get 360 ponies comin out of this bad girl. Uhh Rob, whats he gonna do to the car? I dont know man but its pretty bad ***, and 360hp will be able to romp on anyone. Ya it will! Even those dumb camaros...

haha I didnt tell him i have a Camaro comin his way that could take him stock.

And the sad thing was i knew more about his car then he did. I was judging him the whoolllee time haha

Whoa!!! Guys our thread is like the 8th one down!!!..lol

so I got a 6month plan and this is what I'm going towards...at first I was thinking of a 383 stroker with the jug, or just going with the big daddy 418iron horse... And I'm leaning towards the 418. Just something about when someone ask you what you have and then you say " oh just alittle 418!!!!"..lol.. So hopefully by my birthday I'll have it in. Since I still have to find the right pair of heads and cam for it.... Can you say " kackle kackle kackle"...oh crap I forgot about the rear end..lol oh well..

LOL,,, I almost bumped this post up this morning.

I have a Detroit Locker for sale for your future 9".

If you go with the 418, just make sure you have enough cylinder head for it.

hahah yeah i had a similar experience in my ex ex gf's car its a white 04 gt convertable with exhuats and rollin on 20's boi! LOL its really cleen and sounds pretty good except the guy that sold it to her said it was a cobra...lol he put the cobra snakes on both sides of the front fender and the cobra grill she just about cried when i broke her the truth... she was talkin mad shyt when she bought it so this last summer i brought my car over pissed her off cause i took her dad for a ride and he said i can merry her and to try and make her trade her ford in now hahaah...after she herd that she let me drive it, its a 5sp real awkward shifter and the seating position is crappy kinda like a basic taurus or somthing, doesnt seeem like sporty at all. and lol notahhh as fast as i was hoping for..anyways after i brought her back i took her for a ride in my car came down to the bottom of 170th drifted the corner and mashed it up the hill she said "ok you got me your cars better than mine" ha! anyways yeah thats my mustang story i knew she was no good and a mustang chick i guess thats why we didnt last lol..or the whole ***** part i forget now.

Yeah knows is stuff when it comes from that. I was talking to him about doing my old 853s and he gave me some real good pointers about it and pics as well. Just don't have the time to try it out since I work 7 days a week.

When I do this I'm doing it right and going to buy some AFR 225 or somthing like that.

So phill u need a LS1 in the future..

so how much for the locker?

And I herd from a guy a long time ago that you can rebuild a 10 bolt and have it be just as strong as a 9inch... Is he smoking crack!!!

I'm asking 275.00 for it, but I'd sell it to a local for less. I might have a trade worked out for some different gears and spool. We'll see how that pans out lol....

Just as strong as a 9",,,, HELL NO!!! There's a reason you don't see these 10bolts behind a dragster, or any drag car running 9's or quicker. A 10 can live behind an automatic car and be pretty happy into the low 11's, or even the high 10's if you like to push things to their limit. I personally wouldn't run a 10 bolt that hard. They're really just a ticking time bomb, especially with the c-clip type axles. If those axles break, there's nothing holding them in the housing anymore. They make c-clip eliminators for 10 bolts, but it's just a band-aid fix for a shitty rearend.

as strong as a 9" probly not. but i have heard you can build a 10 bolt to with stand tons of power, with hardened axles and some other things. and hell with a 9" anyway. 12 bolt is all anyone should need for 10's, and it keeps it gm. not ford

Lol that's what I thought. Not that I was thinking about trying it but just some funny ****.

Looks like Im going to start the war on the difference between a 9" and a 12"!! Lol..

So here's alittle info for you, if race cars want to keep things pretty much the same manufacture for parts like, GM, Ford, and Chrysler, then why do all the cars in NASCAR have 9"

don't get me wrong 12 bolts are badass. I was just reading up on them and I found out they take alittle more attention to detail when putting one togethere and when they break they explode
