You would smoke them, well not by much but you would beat one.. I just don't see spending almost a 1,000 dollars on cams to gain 30-40 whp!.. Hell the new boss has better cams, ported heads and intake and they only got it to 445 or so. Really? Or are they just saying that like what the SS LS1 put out stock, and we all know that's not true.

Wrong. Mike's exhaust ends before the axle and has elbows on the ends aiming it towards the rear tire to help disapate the noise for running at PIR.

That's what I thought! So he can stay under the DB. I remember him saying that a while back.

You can go under the axles as long as you don't go jumping your car..lol... That's what I was going to do but went the 2.5 route.

if your concerned about HP just run 2.5" duals out the back so it fits nice and have dual cutouts right at the collector, best of both worlds.

cause 3" true duals wont make much of a difference unless your making big power, thats a lot of pipe.

Sorry I can't see the vid at work. But I'm guessing that is an earlier video. If I recall correctly he had 2.5" over the axle when he had the LS1. With his current setup the 3" ends before the axle.

My old exhaust setup was dual 3" dumped before the axle. The new exhaust I made last year is a single 4" over the axle into a single 4" Dyantech Splitflow muffler. Quieter than the duals and has just as much flow potential as dual 3". Possibly even better flow after you factor in the inside surface area resistance of the dual 3".
