Saw your car on CL again steven. JK but I really did see yours on there. Wish I knew someone with money to pick up a clean car.

I lost most all respect for the guy when he sued (and lost) a lawsuit with Factory Five. He got extremely greedy and money hungry in his later years.

Later years yes but it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the respect for what he did in his early years. That guy took a car an turned into one of the most respected cars to this day. I can understand where he might of tried to sue, hell I would of also. I don't know if he patented the AC cobra, but if he didn't then that's his bad.
RIP Shelby.
RIP Shelby.

Yeah that was BS. He should of never done that.
He had nothing to do with the body design of the AC Cobra. AC was an English company on the verge of banktuptcy. They were looking for a powerplant when Ford stepped up and bought the company, hence the Ford motors in them. I respect Carrols early work but i stopped all respect for him as a person when he sued Fast Five, as did a lot of people.
Just my opinion of course.

shelby took a AC ace roadster which is a little aluminum british sports car and started stuffing small block ford v8s and racing them as a privateer for his own racing team they started doing so well he designed the cobra later and started building race cars with help from ford which you can actually see basically the same design but the front got a face lift i think ac should have sued him they needed money any ways like mike said im not sure if ford bought them or shelby because it wasnt called a Ford cobra but yeah all the old man greedy stuff aside he was a amazing driver and desginer that litterally changed the layout of sports cars to this day.. his best work prolly the Shelby daytona coupe.

The early s281 gt500 were turds in stock form, couldn't get the power down, too heavy and not enough tire. They ran mid to high 12s which is horrible for the kinda power they were making

I'm going to do this to my car, what do you guys think? Tylerls1 probably remembers when I bent my door hinge now when I open my door the trim strip hits so its a must go.
