Now, What do you plan to do about it?

The slowest car in the NW Top 10 runs a 12.9............my slow *** car ran a 13.6 at it's (and my) first trip to the track......so, yeah, 14.66 is kinda slow.
It is "ok" for a 15+ yr old car that seems basically stock, but it ain't a fast car. Sorry.
The really funny part of this is that when I read the thread title, I had NOOOOOO idea you were talking about your car.

A respectible performance car should run low 14s to hi 13s to be considered quick. Fast cars run low 13s or better. So yeah, I guess yours would fall into the slow category. As for you......

Yea but we are talking about a mid 80s 350 car that was still under alot of lack of power.
Heck they were saying that even Dans car was slow at the 13.99
Heck they even said 11s were slow lol
of course they also were saying that bracket racing was for sissys
I would love to see these guys at the track here in Washington with their cars & watch Ellis or Bill S or even you Mark take them down a notch.

Bracket racing is for sissies... bah. Bracket racing has more strategy involved than heads up grudge match racing. All that is, is who can spend the most money to get down the track fastest. Period. The guy with the most money and/or cheapest platform wins every single time... how is that more fun than bracket racing?

I'll be the first to admit my time is still "slow". I won't be happy until I take another bit off and consistently run high 13s. I'm still tuning my driver mod. Then, when the warranty has expired I'll look into more dramatic vehicle mods.

So, just who are "these guys" you're talking about Tammy?
And unless you are running an NHRA class, competitively, brakcets is pretty tough. Nothing like Pro Stock of course, but when guys like Bill & Ellis can consistently run within a tenth of their dial for their combined R/T + ET, you GOTTA be good to have any chance at all. Actually, Pro Stock is the only other class I can think of where the competition is that tough.
