Default Here I'm tired of hearing about OBD1 shift/no-shift

There is a lot to the 60 foot...It's the first few feet that cause the problem.....you can probably juice off the 60 all day and never see a problem. Here is my example as soon as the car started hooking in the first few feet...BAM! no shift with converter.....

http://video.ls1tech.com/player.aspx...3-1E7E8C521AA2

Kurt Tamez..used to juice his all the time and ran tons of low 1.6's in the sixty, but since he did not hit it too hard for the first 5 or 10 feet the VSS algorythem (speed calculation) had time to catch up before setting the no shift flag to 2nd gear in the computer... It's al been researched years ago...easiest answer OBD11....

Here is a run with OBD11....Just a little difference

So basically, me spraying off the line and hooking with intirely no wheel spin is killing me?

I would love to go OBD 2 but we can't figure out how to make it work with my tune in my car! The saga continues

May or may not be...depends on the first few feet and if the VSS speed coming back jumps to fast like 3mph then 15mph like my car did...your done...the computer thinks there is a failure....If it's a little slower in the first few feet it might work...like I said it all depends on the clock speed of your paticular OBD1 and how fast you accellerate in the first few feet (say less than 10 feet)....There is an answer...just cost money...as you well know..

you spray right off the line?? like as soon as you go WOT? or do you have an rpm based window switch?

So is this a wheel spin, cut the torque/power thing? yea, spraying outa the whole can lead to some spin, for sure. OBD II, OBD II. That's basically what traction control on the C5 does except sooner and much more aggressive.

Robert check the thread here on the subject. Jim and I personally spent thousands in R&D on the problem and for years had the only fix

Do you have a link to the thread, or a title so I can search?

Hey, what do you know ......the videos now both work.....amazing

CamaroZ28.com/ Search LT1/LT4 section, and use the words OBD1 no shift.
LS1 TECH/ same search as above.....

Unfortunately all the threads from years ago have been purged, some info is still on there though! Not much...
