Default Making Some Progress

FINALLY! I got my blower pipes cut & taped together yesterday (THANKS Don! ). I think it's gonna look pretty good. I'll post some pics when my camera charges up. Now all I need is to get them welded. I'll be calling you Bill.....

No problem EJ, I fully understand & support your decision. It'll all come together soon.

I'm using 2 1/2" mandrel bend SS pipe Doug. They came with 6" long legs & that really cut down on the number of welds I'll need.....only 4. I spent around 8 hrs at Dons getting the lengths cut right. Should be on the car early next week.

Very cool... any reason you went with 2 1/2?

The air box & inner coolers have 2 1/2" inlets & outlets. And with 2 of them I won't have a flow restriction, if that's what you're thinking. 2 1/2" x pi TWICE = is a lot more than a 78mm MAF will flow....or an 85....or a 100mm for that matter.

Yeah, I figured that was the intercooler/airbox sizing. Very cool, you going to leave them metal or go w/ some sort of PC?

I am going to say you will need to re-tune some areas and that you pick up at least 1-2Psi I am also going to say it hits even harder.

Looks good! I have been trying to get this done on one of these ATI kits for years..GOOD JOB!

As much as the rubber hoses balloon under boost, it might add a lb. Especially after I get the impeller fixed. That will add 2 more psi by itself. This mod is mostly for show, but once we get the a/f above 5K dialed in & tweak the meth up, it might have a 9.9x in it. We'll see. I just hope an LSX intake will take 16lbs....
