Default Why I bought a Honda Element..

Yes, I know they're really freaking ugly and it's a Honda and all that crap, but I gotta say, so far it's turned out to be one of the most useful cars I've ever owned...

So in case you wondered why I bought it... a couple weeks ago I bought a new drum kit...

And here's how much space the entire kit takes up inside the Element.

There's still room for a lot more... and it's so manueverable and small, I can fit into the same parking spaces as a Honda Civic... and I had a friend that is 6'5" riding in the back seat the other day, and he was perfectly comfortable.

Really happy with it.. even though it's an ugly *** Honda.

The 2 right pedals are connected so you can use either one...

Looks to be a double bass pedal. That's a pretty sick setup!

Double kick pedal, and high hat. My left foot switches between the pedals on that side, and the one pedal controls the left beater on the kick drum.

Hell, when I get done with the whole setup, there's going to be 5 pedals total... 3 on the left and 2 on the right..

Left side will be.. electronic high hat... real high hat.. left acoustic kick...

Right side will be... right acoustic kick... electronic kick.

Right now I'm jamming with some guys that play classic rock covers, but I'm into a pretty wide variety. Hard rock is probably my favorite... but right now I will take what I can get just to get some practice in.

Yeah, that's a nice setup you've got going now. Any luck selling your Purple friends?

Thanks man!

Trans Am is sold already. It lasted less than 5 hours online, I was amazed.

GTO.. haven't tried real hard to sell it, and I paid it down so far that I don't have to make a payment on it for the rest of the year.. so I'm not in a huge hurry to move it.

Thanks, man.. I am really happy with it, the sound is awesome. I decided that if I was gonna get rid of my WS6, I was gonna put the money into a badass drumset... and this is the acoustic part.

Pearl MCX Masters Custom kit.. 100% maple... 10", 12" racks, 14" 16" floors, 22" kick. The finish is called "Pewter Glass". Snare is a Pearl 14" Morgan Rose signature (he's the drummer for Sevendust if you've never heard of him, dude is amazing)... and yes it is green, and those little alien heads on it glow in the dark.. badass snare, I love it. Hardware is all Pearl, except for the DW high hat and double kick pedal.

Here's full specs and pics if you wanna check it out...
http://lair.evyl.org/music-drums.htm

I ordered a 8" rack tom, also, should be here in a few weeks.. Next week I'm going to be adding a Roland TD20 V-Drum setup into it.. I think I'm gonna switch to a cable operated high hat stand, also. I am also incorporating an Akai MPC-1000 sampler into it.

The funny thing is that I put this all together, and then realized after the fact that what I basically did was recreate Neil Peart's front kit, minus a 13" tom.

Here's the best picture I have to represent the finish color.. it is really beautiful under lights.

The Element looks like a roadable toaster. But if it works for you, that's great. Love the drums.
