It has an air filter, he mentioned that at the bottom:
Car does have a air filter even though it is not shown here. sorry about the dirty engine pics, I'll post some cleaner ones.
18k? Wow, that seems WAY $$$. I wouldn't know though. It looks fun, slap some new wheels on it and you'd have yourself a fun little toy.

Casey !!!!!!!!
looks like they found you your race car.....

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/673604857.html

Up for sale is my 1993 mazda rx-7 touring edition thats powered by a LS1 V8 with a t56 six speed tranny. Odometer stopped working a while ago but I believe the car has about 135,000 miles and the motor has 70,000 miles. The reason for selling it is I want to move and need to pay off all my debts and have some money for the move. I have been the proud owner for over 6 years. While owning it I went through 2 rotary rebuilds and decided to try out the conversion. I have not looked back ever since. Not only is it as reliable as a deadbolt but it gets better gas mileage, has tons of torque and parts are cheap by comparison to a rotary. Maintenance is very minimal as well. You definately do not need to worry about getting stranded when driving this car like you would in a stock or modded rotary FD.

For those that may not know, LS1 are all alluminum V8s that came in the Corvette, Camaro SS/z28 and Firebird. they came mated to a T56 6 speed manual transmission. Since the motor is all alluminum it didn't add any additional weight to the car (Rotary motors are half cast iron and half alluminum plus all the extra weight of the turbos and thier piping).

The Good:
-Car is super reliable and has been running trouble free for over a year.
-Exterior of car is damn near perfect with the paint job being less than 4 months old with a lifetime warranty from the shop. Paint is Nissan's daytona blue off of the 350z with extra pearl.
-Interior is also in great condition. the car originally came with a tan interior but I switched it for the black.
-Sunroof, not that we use it too much in washington.
-Car has always been well maintained
-drives, stops and turns like a true sports car. plenty of power, FAST!!

Not so good:
-Transmission is a little finicky, will grind if shifted super fast. under regular or faster shifts it works fine.
-Speedometer and odometer are not working. Speedo is not hooked up and the odo stopped working at around 120,000.
-Tachometer needle bounced one day and is now stuck at the redline.
-Will need tires in the soon.

Mods:
-Conversion kit from Hinson Super Cars
-Ported throttle body and high flow air sensor.
-Pro 5.0 short shifter - Could be the tranny problem?? I haven't tried a stock one yet.
-Fidanza light weight flywheel and spec stage 3 clutch kit.
-Low temp thermostat and fans kick on at 180 degrees.
-Battery has been neatly relocated to the cubby behind the passenger seat
-Alpine CD player with remote.
-upgraded clutch master cylinder
-Etc...

I will not be available to show the car until this sunday but feel free and call me or email me your offers or a time to check out the car.
Absolutely NO JOY RIDES!! I can not stress this enough!

I am really not too interested in trades but I will consider most of the money plus certain cars/ sport bike (R6, GSXR etc.)

Please only serious potential buyers.

There is a guy over here in Oak Harbor, he just bought one. Its yellow, and has a carbon fiber hood. Looks good. I think anyways. I think he paid a little less than what that one is going for. But pretty close to it.

That's Jardet...he is in my shop. Me and eric looked the car over for him...it is a salvaged title thus why it is so cheap. Just a roller with a clean title can fetch around 10k with those cars so 18k with a clean title fully done is a steal with as clean as it is.

Honestly I wouldn't either but that is a great price for that car. Only reason I won't is because I can't fit in the damned things (6'4").
