Default Inner fender holes

I recently did the wiring mod on the inner passenger fender. Now my inner fender looks like swiss chesse. I started to fill in the hole with my welder and thought it may be better to fiberglass the inner fender? Any thoughts or ideas on that. Good, bad. I am all eyes.LOL

Here are some teasers pic of the fenders getting welded up. I am going to fiber glass over them to get a real smooth look.
Before, swiss chesse look

Getting there on these

another look

O the battery and the PCM were not hooked up while I was welding either.

Here are a little bit more. All the holes are filled in. Now just to grind the tops off the welds smooth and lay some fiber glass.

OK I will see what it looks like when I get done grinding it smooth. Body filler won't crack from the heat of the engine? I would think it would that is why I said fiberglass. Or that dura-glass body filler with strands of fiber glass. I guessing it is the same thing is the kity hiar that was mentioned above.

I agree, Fiberglass at that point would be a waste of time and money. Just use duraglass over the welds. It wont be affected by the heat.

I don't even think you need to weld...those holes are small enough that bondo will fill them just fine.

You don't have to weld, but if you have access to one, do it...

I didn't, so I just used kitty hair.

If he were to remove the fuel lines from the stock location and reroute (as seen in the last pic), leaving that gaping hole that LT1's have, how would you cover that up? Welding? Bondo?

your on the right track, but you should have been more carefull when spreading your bondo. You could have saved yourself a lot of sanding time.
