ok so my NBM T/A is due for a makeover and i already picked up a ws6 hood and ive done all the body work and everything to get her ready for paint... im not keeping it NBM so im doing all the jambs and such as well as the inner fenders and engine bay. Im trying to get some input on color ideas for the car. My painter refuses to paint the car Hugger Orange or any shade of green... im not a fan of white and black is too overdone... His car is GTS Blue so im not going to copy him but i need some ideas...

Colors im debating so far are

Impulse Blue Metallic off the 04-06 GTO
Tour De France Blue (ferrari)
Electron Blue
Medium blue metallic (camaros bright blue metallic)
Bright Purple Metallic
Sunset Orange Metallic

LMK which one is your fav and if theres any other colors out there post up some pics of it either on a Bird or on whatever car you can find it on.. thanks guys!

Unless your counting on your painter for a piece of ***, I'd tell him to get fucked if he "refused" to paint my car any color.

That being said, sonic blue off an 03 cobra gets my vote.

I like the Electron blue. TDF blue is too dark of a blue and close too NBM imo. Sonic blue is a great color too, from the terminator.

SOM is cool, but there are too many out there. Purple, meh.

I like Torch red, from the vette, or bright red.

well considering that He is doing a buddy deal and painting my car in return for a new spray gun set i dont have much room to argue haha. greens arent really my thing.. the only green i kinda like is the Viper Green Im loking sonic blue and Inferno Orange

Im buying the paint of corse.. but hes doing the labor of spraying it for a new gun set.

Yeah HotWhipT/A is the one painting the car so i defiantly cant use GTS blue or any shade similar to his.

Im kinda digging the viper green. not gonna lie. but i would ceta it out with the black sail and mirrors probably




or the lighter viper blue




eric likes this color but i think its almost as dark a NBM?

Those pictures don't really do the Snakeskin Green any justice... the color is much more vibrant in person. I have a Viper and a couple people in the local club have the green ones and it pops. I am considering picking up a Gen4 ACR in that same color.

I have been looking a similar blues to repaint my NBM Z with and haven't decided which one either...

imo it would be pointless to repaint a car another color if it was another color optioned the same year. That being said its your car and you can do as you wish but if I was repainting and trans am I would find a color that really stands out and would make the car stand out.

I would consider Voodoo blue from the G8 or midnight pearl from the early model skylines (90's).

Ill add some pictures when I'm out of work but deffinitely don't choose a color that looks "ok," choose a color that makes it unique

Thats exactly why i like the Snakeskin Green, and the Light Viper Blue... I defiantly DO NOT want it a color that T/A's came from the factory.

I wish i could see the Snakeskin Green in person. I currently have Gunmetal with Polished lip z06 motorsport wheels so im kinda wondering what a T/A would look like in snakeskin green, with grey z06 wheels, and a gunmetal CETA mod, and maybe some gunmetal hood stripes to accent the wheels?
Also my gauges are custom LED Blue with all cool blue warning lights and a blue odometer.. Im thinking that the blue will accent green and not look Too out of place? i guess i could always sell the cluster and change everything to green later down the line if need be.

No ****, hes not Jesus the holy painter. If I ever changed the color of my car it would be Hugger Orange. If that's what you want find someone who will do it.
