Bubbling Sail Panel Issue for Dummies
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
He started looking at it, and gave me this look -->
He took some pictures, and went in and grabbed the body shop manager. They both started looking it over, and I showed him how the paint is essentially wrinkling all along the line where the glue is. He knew immediately that that was the problem, and asked the manager if it was something they could just sand and paint over. The manager told him that it was obviously the glue, and painting over it would not be the permanent solution that they could guarantee. He told the guy to write the estimate to state that the entire panel would need replaced, but here's the catch: he'd have to get it approved at the next level up.I have a feeling that's where this will stop...if I can't get GM to cover it, my next call will be to my insurance to see if they'll cover it under my comprehensive coverage since it is so retardedly expensive to fix. If not that, then I'll be going to the BBB. After that, I'll pay out of pocket. It needs to be fixed, but I'm hoping not on my dime. It looks ******* hideous
i am going to write the BBB a formal letter this weekend.
how many of you would be willing to retain an attorney, if we can contribute, let's say 30 bux each and get enough to reach 4k to 6k, we can get an attorney to file a class action suit against GM and we have plenty of support from guys here who have gotten their done under and out of warranty. should be the same across the board. i
As for a class action lawsuit, I'd love to, but that would be pretty hard to organize over the internet. I'm gonna see what my insurance will do.
