Default Fender Flares?

Is it possible to have a body shop fiberglass some fender flares for me.

It's possible, depending on the shop. The problem is, at least from everything I've read on it, is that fiberglass won't be able to handle the stress from the amount of flexing that the rear quarters encounter. The only way to achieve a flared fender is by getting them made from sheet metal and then welded onto the car. At any rate, you would really have to consult a body shop.

hmm... sounds interesting if its done right.. could look aweful tho... i'd stay away from fiberglass tho.. you'll be a lot happier if you can get someone to make you some sheetmatal flares.. post up some pictures if you get it done tho

The major problem with using fiberglass is that it tends to warp and stretch with the heat. This can get really bad if you live somewhere like Arizona where it is hot all the time. I have had many paintjobs on fiberglass parts spiderweb because of the warping. The best way is to use injection molded plastic but that is only practical for huge companies. Fiberglass is pretty cool but there are way too many downsides to using it.

Or you could just fiber glass over the metal quarter panels. Problem solved...

Are you talking about flaring the entire fender like that Dick Harrel car, or just like a slight flare along the top?

If you're talking the entire fender like the DH car - I'd think that would be a HUGE investment, not only in time but money and material.

Now if you're just wanting a "slight" flare you might be able to incorporate the C4 Corvette fender flare into our fender, although Im not sure exactly how that'll work with our fenders (if it even fits...).
