Been working on the car every night... it's ready to go to paint. Will be taking the car over to Stock or Modified this weekend!
Got the first of a few carbon accent parts in today. These replace the factory plastic brake cooling ducts. They're real carbon and feel like a sheet of paper. You can stick them over the oem part or you can remove the plastic outer part from the shell and install these which is the way I'm gonig to be doing it. No sticking it for this car.

UPDATE:
Installed my new intake. It's a C6 K&N filter w/ a new coupler. You can get them from Amazon.com or eBay etc. for $90ish. I also got a new oem shroud. This replaces my BPP Vortex Rammer than I had in for four years. I love the clean look and the carbon fiber filter. I've deleted my air pump system so I didn't have to drill the hole for the air line.
Here's the money shot for all of those that think you have to have a Vararam to get cold air. The openings on your bumper let air flow right here... it all goes to the filter and even moreso w/ my tigershark nose.
Rockers all sanded down ready for primer... they were very beat up from HPDE use.
Did a waxer brake job... still had my track pads in and a cracked LR rotor from my last event (cracked on the last session). Got the oem rotors from Mike's (illmac77) '04 Z06. He only used them a few hundred miles before getting slotted/drilled ones. I used 500 degree gloss black paint to coat the hats after sanding them and cleaning them off. Swapped in some fresh Delco ceramic pads and new pad springs/hardware. The brake pads wear off the paint on the first few stops. I also removed all the heat refelctive take I had on the ball joints and rod ends for protection on track... no need on a street machine.
Back on the ground... cleaned up all the dust/mess and put some e-dead on the back of the trunk tub and the underside of the wheel wells.

Today I went to pick her up and take her to paint She's alive!
I admit... I drove the car around for about 10 min and got some gas Holy **** it was so much fun... so raw w/ the top out and no panels. A bit scary w/o a door and seat belt, much like a jeep but way faster. The car was stupid fast... it's most likely about 2500ish lbs now w/ 430+ rwhp.
Car is over at Stock or Modified Body Works
Then went home to get my doors... here's a good use for old ugly comforters.
