if u got rubber right behind the tires.... ide say yer fed on not hurting the paint... most the time that craps so hot.... it can screw the paint up... that would be why most people put tape there.... but ne how i think my one friend said u can use prepsol on it.....

dont use dlaquer thinner unless you are sure that that panel hasnt been painted before.if it has,you will have a huge mess on your hands.get some 3m general purpose adhesive remover.put it on a rag let it soak for a couple minutes, wipe and repeat til it is gone.

Thanks everyone, I got it off. WD40 worked, although it made it smear. But its off.

I've used WD-40 and Go-Jo (no pumice!) and both work if
you let them sit. The Go-Jo stays put better.

use WD40 like others said. a tip that I do, is take some wax right before you go to the track, wax up the rear 1/4 panels, and then when your done you go home and can just wipe it off. Looks weird at the track, but it makes the rubber come right off.

Kerosene works great for me. I always reapply a coat of wax afterwards, though.
