I have a 1998 ls1 that has been torn down and is currently at the engine shop for inspection. The engine was rebuilt, by the previous owner two years ago. I bought it, installed it, ran for about 200 miles then it spun 5/6 rod bearings. The crank was already 30 over on the rods and 20 over on the mains, the crank was damaged beyond repair. Bearings require replacement, and block needs to be dunked, can have it done while its at the shop right now for their price with receipts, if the buyer wants the service done prior to shipment.
5/6 rods were deemed non- reusable but pistons are good with new rings and cylinders are numbered accordingly if the buyer would like them as well. Bores are clean with fresh hone.
