Default 6LE Fiberglass Targa Top

Category: Accessories
Price: $625
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird
Location (State): NC
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
LS Engine?: Non-LS Part

I have a 6LiterEater Fiberglass Targa Top for sale. Here is the item as they sell it on their site:
http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...c10bff99bda504

Photos of my top http://s71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...x/6LE%20Targa/

I have decided that the nice indentation in the center of the targa will not go well with my stripe, though I really would have loved to have it.

It is in gel coat, and my painter has done a good bit of filling and smoothing, but it could still use some more to make it show-ready. For a racer, it is good to go.

With $100 center mounting bracket and shipping $625

Deduct $100 for local pick-up in central North Carolina (will meet in Triad, Triangle, or Fayetteville)

I picked the top up late Wednesday and plan to go by a shipping store this weekend to find out the best way to package it for shipping and an estimated cost. I did not see the original package as I had it shipped to my painter. He said it was primarily cardboard and bubble wrap. I just want to ensure it won't be damaged in route.

Got a box today, now working on some packing materials, trying to figure out if standard styrofoam is OK or if I need to put some wood fra ming in. Once that is decided, I'll take all to the Post Office and UPS for quotes. I need to get to my painter's place and grab my bracket as well. Not scheduled to go back there at this point until 2/22.

Not sure what glass weighs, but the targa is about 12 lbs.

So I took the box and top by the USPS yesterday and it looks like right around $100 for shipping, not surprising as that is what 6LE charges.

I also now have my Targa Top Center Bracket that 6LE sells for $110 shipped. http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...94e0c599c26873

I took a few more photos and am about to box it all up, with styrofoam and spray foam, and make final negotiations. Overall, I have the top that retails for $750 and the bracket at $100, plus $110 shipping, so $960 total, 6LE has them on sale at $200 off, so $760 value, plus my painter has several hours in prep work on the fiberglass (note all the putty and sanded areas in the photos.) I'll be responding to those who have asked or PM'd me. I am looking for the first $625 offer...what a great way to spend that tax refund and save $135 at the same time!

and the bracket

I just weighed the glass t-tops, 10 lbs each, so 20 vs the 12 for the fiberglass top. If you just attach the fiberglass to the car with an adhesive instead of reusing the removable brackets from the glass t's, you will likely drop another 8-10 lbs.
