Default Tunner question. I want to deside. Diablo,LS1Edit,HPTunner

Ok i have a 99 silverado with a bunch of bolt ons and i want to tune it.

Im coming from the honda world of hondata and AEM.

I was looking at HPTunner but i dont get the stupid credit thing. If i want to do tunning here and there how many credits do i need ??

Diablo tunner what do i need to tune with that?

LS1edit i hear mixed reviews on this.

Basicly i just want to clean up air fuels. timing and other nick nack things.

hpt you do use credits. for most vehicals it is only 2. when u buy it new the pro series i kow comes with 8 credits. thats up to 4 vehicals using the std os. out of all of them i would go with hpt. great to work with, easy to learn.

As stated the credits are pretty simple, for your silverado it would just use 2 credits to tune an unlimited amount of times.

We have a diablo tuner that came with the 99 Corvette we just bought! You can have it for $100. It needs to be reset and your good to go. I believe it cost around $50 to get it reset.

ummm, no...

it would be $149 to send it in to diablosport to get it unlocked/reset and upgraded to the new version of the tool....

I will get it reset. The person that we bought the car from says he can get it done! I will put it up for sale at that time.

I was just making an offer.

all others dont compare to Hptuners and EFIlive, these are professional grade software that can allow you to seriously tune the car well, or screw it up

Actually Bill Novaflash stated HPT had a credit system. No one said it was simple. The OP, JDMCRX stated that it was a STUPID CREDIT THING. He's far from being the only one either. Hell I understand it (finally) and I still think its stupid let alone the people I explain it to.

Check out EFI LIVE Josh. Its comparable with HPT but with far superior hardware that can do alot more standalone functions.. Plus the licensing system is very simple. One licence for one car. That's all it will ever cost you no matter what you do.
