Default 2001 truck 5.3 pcm.

Will a 5.3 truck pcm 0411 will work on a ls1 motor? Im about to repin my 98 pcm that i have in a ls1 but i was wondering if the 5.3 truck pcm will work.

Yes, you just need to flash it with correct tune.

So i had it repin for a 2001 comaro pcm but i could't find one so a friend gave me a spare one that he had, but its a silverado, no i cant turn on the truck.

not to sound mean but....


so you installed the pcm and now it will not start? did you reprogram it for your application as stated above? it needs to be a full reflash

Dont forget the fuel sender segment swap that would need to be done.......

You must not have looked on ebay. There are a couple dozen different auctions for them.

Thats what im trying to do but my interface wont read it so i can't do nothing to it.

What are you using to communicate with it?

double check your wiring, verify the actual voltage and verify the grounds are good (ohm the ground circuits)

blue connector,

pin 1 and 40 need ground.
pin 19 needs switched (ign) voltage in run only
pin 20 and 57 needs battery voltage all the time

pin 58 serial data



red connector,

pin 1 and 40 ground

just these and you can communicate and program the pcm

I was checking it and i think the pin 58 serial data is not plug, it didt show me in the diagram i was using. By any chance you dont have a diagram that will help to check it out?

Im using hp tuners, my interface has power but it just not comminicating.

I can get you what ever diagram you want. what are you looking for specifically? diagnostic link to pcm diagram? or the connector end view of the pcm connectors?
