So are the fans running when it's overheated, or no? That
is the first diagnostic "cut".

Maybe the 3-bar has a default "no e-fans" selection, or
a crazy low fan-defeat MPH, or something.

ive tried the following:

stock thermostat with a bunch of holes drilled in it
160* thermostat

no thermostat

it has goten better with no thermostat now, i can sit for about 3-4 min but it slowly and slowly creeps up to 225-230ish

Are you just now getting the car running from a rebuild? Do you have the steam vents venting to the radiator?

Did you do some "beating on it"??? With forced induction, are the heads still "down on the block"??
Looking at your other posts, the overheating appears to be an ongoing problem. Add in the inj problems, I'd say it's time for a leakdown check...

I do not see the answer to whether the fans are actually
running when it overheats.
