I don't believe so. It has been discussed before and I don't think anyone has came up with a way to do so. I had to installed a autometer water temp gauge so I have a real idea of the cars temp.

99+ cars have dummy gauges in them... they basically read cold, operating temp, too hot...

My car runs around 185* and it still reads 210 on the gauge cluster...

98s are the only year that have a real temp gauge...

Yep, that's about all they're good for.

damn... didn't realize even "accurate" gauges were off heh

From my understanding... you'll actually see the temp gauge move on a 98 ... go from city to highway and it'll be noticable...

whereas w/99+ , the change is barely even noticable

Yeah, I can watch my gauge rise if I'm sitting in traffic for awhile.

Could you put a 98 cluster in a 99 and later car or is it more involved than that?

^^^ the sensor is different and so is the way the PCM interprets it... would be 100x easier to just put an autometer gauge in
