Hey guys I just got done running some autotap logs after installing my cam and hpp3, I ran it with hpp3 tuning/then stock tuning. I found some interesting results,, 1. I really have to mash my pedal to get full 100% throttle open and 2. that stock I run a little rich but with hpp3 I am right in the "hot zone" with my o2's and air fuel ratio,, I was thinking it was faster maybe smoother with the hpp3 before the atap but now I actually believe it is running better with the hpp3 tuning,, I had no Knock Retard stock or with Hpp3,, and also I can see where the hpp3 advanced my timing by about 2 degrees on average. All in all I'm pretty happy that my car is running ok and it seems that the hpp3 is helping me performance wise but now I have to get to a dyno for the real test. See rest of mods in sig at the time of testing.
If anybody is interested here is the data I collected with hpp3 tuning and then stock tuning.
-------------------------------------------------
AVG B1S1 with hpp3 .885
AVG B2S1 with hpp3 .899
KR 0 degrees with hpp3
AVG Ignition timing 25.4 degrees with hpp3
Engine coolant at 176 degrees with hpp3
Ltrims right around 0 while cruising with hpp3
-------------------------------------------------
AVG B1S1 with stock tuning .906
AVG B2S1 with stock tuning .917
KR 0 degrees with stock tuning
AVG Ignition timing 23.2 degrees with stock tuning
Engine coolant 176 degrees with stock tuning
Ltrims right around -4.7 while cruising with stock tuning

Interesting results. What year is your car? Looks like maybe an '01 or '02 from the low timing advance (when compared with pre '01).

I have a 98 and lost HP on the dyno with the tuning. We did 3 runs with it and then took it out and did 3 more. I gained 4 - 8 HP and 5 - 12 TQ. I only had some free mods Lid, pulley and open Borla. I don't have A-tap to take reading. I left the HPP3 tuning out.

Seems to work for some people. The power tuning pulled my 02s down from .88x - .89x into the .87x range and I picked up a lot of KR. That was in the summer, haven't tried in the cool weather.

I can back your results as the same thing happened to me. Leaned me out a little and I gained a tenth or 2 and 1MPH. Tested it at the track on the same day. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

When my engine was stock, I picked up a fair amount of KR with HPP non-rfg tuning (no rfg on 2000 HPP).
Then, I installed my MTI T1 cam setup and discovered that my car ran horribly rich with this cam and Mac off-road headers. I was at like .975 O2, and timing was terrible at like 24-25 degrees or so under WOT. Once I re-installed the HPP non-rfg tuning, my O2s went down to like .935 or so, and timing went up to 28 degrees or so. Quite a difference.
Anybody have a clue why the hell the installation of a T1 cam would make the car so damn rich in the first place?
