A4's: Changing desired shift time?? Any of you out there changed the shift times? (Not shift speed but shift times) Does it work? Anything to be gained?

Re: A4's: Changing desired shift time?? I beleive that controls the time it takes to signal the shift solenoid. I don't think it will effect performance, but setting it to zero should make your tranny shift sooner. If you change it you'll probably have to reset your shift points a little.
I wonder if setting it to zero would clear up the solenoid stuck open codes some people get.

Re: A4's: Changing desired shift time?? Joel, I think our performance mode tables are zero because we dont have the "Performance Shift" option switch on our cars. At least I dont. My buddies 94 LT1 had it though.
I took my TM tables down to zero and figure I might just drop the shift times down to about .2 and see if I can tell a difference.

Re: A4's: Changing desired shift time?? Joel, I took the 2-3 shift times down to .250 but didnt notice any difference. I did however try and trick f**k the tranny as far as TM goes though. I put the spark retard table limit to +10 vice -10 and felt a HUGE difference during shifts. No more nose over. Ken K really needs to figure out that bug in Edit. I ended up running a new best of 12.41 @ 109.5 and I still havent put the TR 224 in the car yet.
