Default HP Tuners: Announcing Upgrade Credits!

HP Tuners is pleased to announce the introduction of Upgrade Credits for VCM Suite 2.1 and MPVI interfaces.

Upgrade Credits are a way for customers to take a lower risk and cost entry point into tuning while protecting their investment for future upgrades as business increases.

Upgrade credits accumulate for both Single Vehicle and Year/Model purchases providing benefit to everyone from the weekend tuner to the growing tunershop. Existing customers who upgrade from Serial interfaces to the new MPVI will also receive upgrade credits for all transferred Year/Model licenses.

See the http://www.hptuners.com/credit_faq.html (Question #9 and Example #5) for all the details!

damn. im likin that a whole lot there. i hated a few aspects of the setup before, but this fixes nearly all of them. the only one, and this doesn't concern me personally, is that you can't get 2 full year liscenses with the initial purchase. either the initial purchase should get 12 credits, or the full year liscenses should be reduced

same way, single vehicle enhancements will count towards the appropriate package. eg. 75% of 2/3bar single LS1 licenses count towards Unlimited 2/3 bar LS1.

"The system also applies to VCM Enhancements, such that single vehicle enhancements will contribute upgrade credits towards the unlimited packages."

I thought you used to get 2 model year licenses when you bought it.

the way they structured it now you can get up to 4 vin locked licenses with your purchase or mix a one or two bar SD enhancement or get one vin locked & one year locked license or... well you get the picture...this way you have MANY more options then before & dont NEED to choose what two cars/trucks you want up front which will make for probably a better resale value in the long run. Good times are a coming

I think Id rather have 2 years unlocked than 4 VINs. I could tune more than just 4 cars with the 2 years. Thats just me though.

the thing is more people buy it to just tune THEIR cars & nobody elses...they got many requests before for a cheaper 1 year or 1 car locked version...in this case they kept their prices the same now offer better hardware & give you many choices in how you do things, before if you had a supercharged car & wanted the 2 bar upgrade you had to spend $850 basically...now that 2 bar can be included with your purchase & you'll still have credits left over for whatever else you'd like to do in the future. For 99% of the buyers this way will work out better.

Dude some people only got one vehicle when they ordered. What more do you want them to do? I think the people have spoken and they ajusted a few thing around to try to make us happy. They could/should only have to do so much. We just have to accept it. I think its a pretty fair and good deal for all.
