Default LS1 Edit tune gone after warranty work?

Took the car in the dealer for some last minute warranty work (pinion seal, speakers, suspension). Anyway, I was having this bad "rotten egg" smell for a couple of months and had them check it out. Here's what my copy says:

"Updated PCM calibrations. VP-3A.
Check for codes. None. Check for bulletins. Found updated PCM calibrations for spark knock and evap system. Reprogram PCM with latest updates. Test drive and let car run. No abnormal smell."

All I had was a basic LS1 Edit tune (shift points/times, delete torque management, lower fan settings). Is it now gone and back to stock? Usually, after I had the tuning done my fans would come on if I would idle in traffic too long. It's very cold out now but my fans haven't come on since the trip to the dealer. Also, I can't really test my shift points with my stock tires back on (took the Nitto's off before I went in) and this traction less cold weather. Do I have to get it redone?
BTW, the smell is now gone.

Yes, your tuning is gone if they reflashed your PCM with the latest GM updates. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

What's strange is that the year 2000 pcms don't have any updates. The version you have with your car is the final version.

It looks like there has been three updates:

1. The original.
2. "new calibration to address a.i.r. check valve noise."
3."new calibration to reduce spark knock, enable enhanced evap diagnostics, and reduce occurances of false dtc p0175."

I don't have any dates, so I guess it would depend on when your car was built vs. when these updates were released, to know which cal level your car actually has.

Unless you're saying all of these updates took place before the 2000 MY was actually released.

Car was built in Dec of 99. It is a 2000 model year.

John,

I'm pretty sure those updates took place before the 2k model year.

When I replaced my pcm (2k T/A), the programmer, Lyndon Wester, said that my pcm had the latest version, and that it is the final version. My car was built early 2000, so I'm sure from that point on.

Actually the update that SSPEEDY refers to did in fact occur DURING the model year. I looked in my file library and the first 2000 I pulled up is only at level 2 of the above mentioned updates.
So at the time that car was here, it had not received the update in question that covers the spark knock, enhanced evap, and dtc p0175 issues.

I think the dealer did a useful update to the PCM, and SSPEEDY just needs to re-modify his PCM with LS1 Edit.

Thanks for the help! I needed to make sure what exactly happened.
I think I may just wait and have it tuned after I have LT's installed.
