Default Predator & deleting Torque Management

Anyone out there sucessful deleting TM on a stall converter equipped stock heads-cam '01 or '02 F-body? If so, does the unit have to be custom-tuned by Diablo, or what? And, if that's the case, how much for their "custom tune", etc.? Thanks. Any help appreciated. I bought one for mainly that reason, (TM delete), and now people are saying the piece will not perform this function...Anyone? Thanks. Somewhere in the docs there is some
mumbly mention of how it "modifies
the TM params", but nothing specific.
I would like to know too.

Just an FYI for those of you wanting the basics but do not want to mess with timing or fuel quite yet...

For $75 we will make any changes that do not require modifications to fuel and/or timing tables. If later you decide to go with a full tune we will deduct the original $75 from the price. For $75 we can

!TM
TC lock-up points
line pressure
shift speed
shift points
rear gear ratio
tire height
fan settings
rev-limiter
idle speed
!CAGS
!EGR
!AIR
!O2s
!COTS
alter misfire tables

We are equipped to handle 97-02 LS1/LS6 PCMs. We are adding 03 LS1/LS6 support early next week.

If you are interested please don't hesitate to contact us. BTW... assuming the rain holds off we will be at the Viper/F-body shootout this weekend in Bradenton, FL. We'd love to meet anyone that plans on attending.

Now this is what tuners need to offer ..... the standard $500 tuning charge that most places offer is getting old, that's why so many are opting to buy their own versions of tuning software.

Hi Tim. I'll e-mail you. If I were to send you the PCM out of my car, along w/a new "empty PCM", can you flash the new one (copy mine), then make the TM delete and a few other basic changes to the new box you flashed? That way I could have my "stock" PCM and the other for screwing around and the track. Please post up if you can do this, then I'll mail you for pricing for it. Much thanks. Here is what i got back from Diablo Predator company:

The reduction of torque management is already programmed into the DiabloSport Predator. You do not need to make that change yourself, the Predator will automatically do that. At this time, custom programming hasn't become available. It's still about 1-2 months away.

I'm gonna hang a semi-related question off
this thread since it's the most "live".

How do some of you guys know what you know
about the Predator, and what the DiabloSport
development current and future situation is?
I've been trying to find more detailed info,
haven't, and email to them has so far gone
unanswered (few days, I'm waiting semi-
patiently).

Are you guys, like, their "tuner inner circle"
or is there freely available / accessible info
that I'm just not turning up when I search
the sites?

How does a regular schmoe get hooked up to
the good stuff?

WJ,

Unfortunately LS1Edit cannot write the entire flash contents back to the PCM. It only updates the data segments. If the new PCM is blank we have a Tech 2 which will allow us to flash it with the latest GM stock program as our starting point. We would have to charge for that as it involves a trip down to the dealer to load the Tech 2. Once that is done we can make the changes for you. E-mail me and I'll give you pricing on that.

Thanks,
Tim

Hey Tim, that's VERY fair and reasonable, if I didn't already own LS1 Edit, I would do that.

Thanks guys. We've been doing this stuff since 98 ourselves and know how tiring it gets to keep spending alot of $ on the simple things. If we can help anyone out let us know!
