Question x pipe dyno results

I have been doing research on exhaust systems and performance stuff, and it seems like 1 of the biggest horsepower upgrades and cheapest things to do is going to an X pipe true dual exhaust setup. I've read that you're looking at 15 to 25 horsepower at the wheels, can anyone confirm or deny with any Dyno result of their own?

and if this has already been covered sorry but I am using my phone and it will not let me use the search feature :-(

Get on the computer and search...
Over the stock catback you might see 20RWHP increase on a stock car, and maybe 5RWHP over a good flowing aftermarket catback.
On a more powerful setup (like H/C/I) where a catback will start to hold back some power you will see bigger gains with the X-pipe TD setup.

i run tsp duals with orx on my car. dynod 352hp 357tq. I seemed to pick up over my previous pacesetter ory, but the merge on the pacesetter piece is awful. A well made y-pipe should flow just as good as an x

tsp= Texas Speed & Performance, there's a link to their site on the right side of the page....(btw, they're sold out of true dual kits) i think most use the summit x.....you can get it in 2.5" or 3" for around $110....plus you get to choose what kind of mufflers you run (Sweet Thunders FTMFW)......so far TSP refuses to offer their true dual kits without mufflers, even though it has been requested by several members

yessir, that's the one.....grab that, a couple of bullet mufflers, and take it all to an exhaust shop.....they'll fix you up.....

just google tsp true duals, you'll see plenty of pics.....maybe print a few off to carry with you to the exhaust shop so they'll have an idea of what you want to do with the Summit piece

Awesome thanks, was thinking about grabbing a couple single chamber mufflers like flowmaster super 10 or thrush... might even get an ebay brand... Why do you suggest bullet style?

i went through SEVERAL different bullet style mufflers when i had my duals......Dynomax bullets are pretty cheap and sound ok......Thrush Glasspacks sound very good with a mellow tone.....Classic Chambered are very aggressive and flow well......but the best sounding by far were Sweet Thunders.....they make a performance version with 2.75 inner tubes.....grab two of those and you'll be getting compliments everywhere you go
