My 6th gen is my daily for a while, so the WS6 wins out on my days off.

I finally have everything I need to start building the engine. The pistons was the last major part I needed and they finally came in. Can't wait to get it all finished. Still going to be a couple of months to get it all put together and get the final tune done on it. Here is a picture from the other day.

Jessie Coulter in Bowling Green will do it. We have been friends for about 25 years, and he has his shop to do all this. I don't have the space, and to be honest I trust him more than me doing this with the amount of HP that we are going for. Lol

I dig those Welds. They really set the car off especially with the SOM. I saw the tire size you went with but I couldn't find the offsets and wheel width. Would you mind letting us know what they are? Also how are you liking the Azenis?

Thank you! The wheel size that I went with is 18x10 front High Pad +41mm-7.1 backspace, 18x11 rear Medium Pad +43mm-7.7 backspace. I have loved the Falkens tires so far.

Wow it has been 20 years since I joined LS1Tech.
Since I am here I will give an update on the ne engine. Still working on it. Lol Seriously though I should have it done and cruising the streets this Spring. I have had a few things slow me up in the last few months, but we are getting there slowly.

I did get the 1LE on the dyno about a month ago. Remember it is a A10 and it put down 387hp, 411tq. I have some go fast goodies for it just waiting to put them on. The 1LE will remain a NA build.

What a beautiful day it was. Got to drive and change the oil on the 1LE, then drove the WS6 and made a few pulls. Well when I made the last pull I heard an exhaust leak and heard a small rattle. Went home and saw that my passenger side exhaust tip had come loose. So jacked it up made a quick fix and hit the road

again.

This Friday I am going to install a new Sony XAV-AX4000 stereo, Kicker speakers, KMA600.6 6x100w 6-Ch Weather-Resistant Full-Range Amp, and a back up camera in the Trans Am. I have been wanting to do this for a while. So I figured before I finish and install the new engine I will get this part done.

How did your cooling go with the front mount intercooler as well as were you able to use AC without it overheating with the front mount?

I've read some mixed reviews when prochargung going twin mount intercoolers and using AC vs front mount and keeping your AC and not having it get so hot with AC on. Just wondering your experience?

What boost are you at? Pretty impressive numbers on the stock LS1 keeping it living, love it. I said I was going to stop at heads and cam, but gosh I've got the itch to procharge now.

I have had zero problems with cooling. I did upgrade to the Spal Fan's and they have worked great since 2020.

That is the one thing that I won't get rid of on my WS6 is the AC. With the fans mentioned above, again zero problems even in the dead of Summer. Don't get me wrong they are working their butt's off but zero problems with it overheating. On my other WS6 I had before this one I used the twin mount intercoolers, and they work fine if you will keep it low boost. I knew this build I was going to push it so the front mount was the choice for me.

I have been at 9 lbs of boost. The way I have kept it together for so long is 1.Tuning, 2. Snow Performance stg 2 methanol injection kit. I have had this build and I have played very hard with it for over 5 years now. I posted the pictures of the fans I have been using and the dyno sheet below. I am building a new engine for my WS6 right now. Hope to have it together here real soon, and I am going to max out the D1X procharger. Hope this helps you some. If you have anymore questions reach out to me.

, on the stock bottom end LS1 that came in the car new in 2002.

Awesome, I appreciate the info! That helps.
I definitely will never get rid of my AC so that's important to me and comforting to know the front mount set up has worked fine with it. Front mount for me I think will be the route I take just bc it opens up possible bigger builds as you are doing.
THAT IS if I commit. 😅.
Where did you mount your methanol tank? I saw the picture but couldn't tell. Is that the spare tire area?

We are getting closer. Now waiting for the pushrods, windage tray and a few other smaller things to come in. Main thing is we are going in the right direction and making progress.
