Default Hard to find parts?

I am on the hunt for a passenger side, side skirt for my 2002 trans am. I found they are near impossible to find. It had me thinking... what other parts are becoming increasingly difficult to acquire as these cars age?

An ebony Trans Am dash. I've been looking for a nice one for a while.

New versus Used would change your results as well.

Driver's side seat belt loop for a 'vert is no longer available. The TOP/ASR switch panel is also getting scarce. These are just parts I've had to track down in the last few years, I'm sure there are a ton of other interior parts that are no longer available, NOS or repro.

Reasonably priced parts for these cars disappeared a long time ago.

As time goes on, YearOne picks up these parts. For year, the interiors have been hard to come by and YearOne is expanding as quality used parts become hard to find.

Same thing with the body parts. These side skirts are available for the previous generation car. As the used parts dry up, they will be added to the catalog for the later models.

If you're talking about the fiberglass portions, best bet is to repair them. Mine too are cracked, hut still whole and attached. Same with my rear bumper, previous owners bumped it alot. Its torn at the exhaust areas and a pretty decent crack/tear on the corner.

I just got extremely lucky and found a non greedy guy who sold me a full rear set of LT1 taillights for 225$, plus an extra driver side one. Need to tear the old lens off and figure out a good way to restore or customize them.

Decent and under a grand? Well I'm going to have to ask anyway. I'm trying to find the right tail light for my 2001 Trans Am
where some unknown idiot broke all to hell without even a message staying sorry about that. Any help in finding one would
be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Fastcat.

People sell them all the time here, check the marketplace section. You'll probably spend a minimum of $350 for a good one. I have one, but I'm going to hold onto it simply because as you've found, they're not super common. A couple years back I got two in near perfect shape from a junkyard on eBay for $500, they've gone up to around $800 for a good matched pair.
