I hear that on a WS6 hood if you pop the hood and look where the air comes in there is a plastic piece that is riveted on. If you drill out the rivits and take off the plastic piece that restricts air flow it will alllow more cool air to the engine. Now before i go drilling rivits out of my hood i wanted to see if anyone else has done this or has heard about it?

I have done it, if there is any performance gain its not enough to feel in the seat of your pants but if you will look the vents in the hood line up with the slot under your air lid. Its real easy to do but it also lets more dirt, rain, etc. get blown in on your motor. I did it and would do it again.

some people call this a 'free ram air mod'. I really dont believe so much that if you just drill out & remove the baffles, you'll get any differance. There was a kit out a few years ago, call the BG Ram Air modification. It gave instructions, as well as the proper seals and channels to install in your hood. Without the seals and added ducting, I dont think you'd get all the air you can. Most of the air would basically slosh around where you cut out the stock baffles. The kit also came with plugs to fill in the holes underneath the ram air snout, and a rain blocking plate that snaps in, should you drive in some heavy rain. The guy doesn't make the kit anymore, but check out ws6store.com, or afterthoughtsauto.com, they sell some parts and pieces of the kit, you might be able to put something together yourself.

It's been done to my WS6, but I want to return it to stock.
So if any of you guys that have removed your baffle, or are thinking about removing your baffle want to sell the baffle once you remove it, please let me know. I am interested in buying one that is in good enough shape to put back in the car.
