HID's On My WS6?

I know the Kelvin number is the color temperature, not brightness. What I was saying is that I have projector housings, H3 size bulbs in 10,000K color. I like them a little bluer, and the projectors keep the light where I want it (<--see avatar to the left). I also have a set of auxiliary 55-watt halogen bulbs between the low beam and high beam projector housings, which provide extra light when I need it.

BTW, avoid the fake projector conversion housings on ebay. They are not real projectors. They are just a regular reflector housing with a glass hemisphere tacked onto the front. I don't think there are any in the 4701/4703 size anyway.

Also, if you want conversion housings....and you want HID.... why not just but the conversion housing HID kit from www.ledgauges.com?

I just checked up on the price of the Euro Lamps and Hella units (from Rally Lights).
www(dot)rallylights(dot)com/hella/150mm.asp
www(dot)eurolamps(dot)com/eurolamps/camaro_headlights.htm
The Euro Lamps units are $156+ plus shipping for a pair and I dont like the blue tinted bulbs. The Hella units (from Rally Lights) are $224 plus shipping for a pair.
The conversion housing HID kit from www.ledgauges.com is $334 plus shipping.
The LED Gauges kit looks like the better value.
(Unless you want to try your luck on ebay.)

The best part about the whole thing is that I didn't drill, cut, or weld anything in the frame. I'm using stock mounting points for everything, so the entire mod is completely reversible if I want to change one part of it, sell the car, or go back to the pop-ups. Pictures to follow.

I tried looking for a long time before I eventually went this route (cuz I was tired of the damn motors and gears in the popups), but I never found anything. You'd probably have to go with the ledgauges kit that VIP1 was talking about... $334 isn't bad for a good HID kit, and I've seen them on other cars; they look great. I'll keep looking for you when I go to the parts stores today. AutoZone has some good catalogs.

Aren't those fog light projectors though?
What bulbs do they take?
What does the light pattern look like?

It looks like the 150mm "Hella" conversion housings that Rally Lights has are actually Bosch.
Type "150mm bosch sealed beam conversion" into Google and the first link should be Rally Light's site.
Strange, but it takes an H4 bulb.
It's dual filament (hi/low) which is odd for two reasons:
1. The 4701 is a high beam only and the 4703 is a low beam only, designed for use in a 4 headlight arrangement (2 low, 2 high - like the late-4th-gen Firebird). Making a dual filament hybrid is unnecessary unless you want to make it have 4 low beam on at once and 4 high beam on at once. In which case, you'd need upgraded wiring to handle doubling the power consumption. Or you can choose to only wire-up the needed filament.
2. The H7 is a low beam only bulb, but it's lumen output is between the H4's low and high beam filaments.
I don't know what kind of bulb the EuroLights version uses.
I thought I saw a conversion housing that used a H7 bulb. It's probably in one of the threads I posted above.

They are fog housings, and they take an H3 size bulb. The light pattern is surprisingly wide for a fog lens. I had to use a couple spacers in the housings because the HID bulbs are longer, but it came out well. They have a shield inside the housing that keeps the light out of other drivers' eyes. Works great. haven't been stopped by any cops yet. Hehehe

Well I checked out the ones you told me to google, but at $69 a piece I'm starting to give this a second thought....I really just want to find empty housings, I now ebay sells em, but I just don't know what dimension. I also recall that the "nopi" site used to have them, but I searched through that site and no luck....any other ideas?
