Well guys I am tired of having "stock c6" corvettes kicking my *** and was wondering what I can do to give them a run for their money. I have 5 grand to spend and was wondering what you guys think I can do to make my car keep up with these fast basturds lol.

I would go full boltons with ported intake and a nasty cam with converter. Mild setup are running 11s@117mph which is on par with stock vettes ro better. This is with stock heads, a porting would be great too. Or slap a 150 wet kit on it. Or both.
GXP is as fast as a new SS, not as a vette.

You'll be limited to low boost with stock compression/internals. IMO, no fun/reason to go F/I if I cant go all out.
Put a FAST 102mm intake/TB on there, cam, full exhaust and stall (with trans cooler of course) and go take names.

no he wont, the stock g8 bottom end is stout. Should be able to make over 500whp+ reliably on 8-10lbs of boost, do some research! Hell parish is puttin down 600whp on the bonestock l76 with a house of boost turbo kit. I say fi is the way since you have plenty engine compartment space in the g8.

Bolt-ons and a shot of nitrous will put them in your rear view for sure. I'm a big fan of the blower idea myself though if you want to hold off until you have the extra money.

GTFO outta here with that noise unless this is a competition to spend the most cash for the least amount of HP.
Cam, intake, full exhaust, nitrous, new set of sicky tires and enough left over to play with the suspension, trans, or whatever else compared to your $6k (if not more) blown in one shot for the blower kit
I know it makes power. It just doesnt make enough to justify the cost on stock internals. That GXP will see 480+ with the right boltons and cam and spray will bring it over 600 easy when it needs to be there. This board swings on F/I so hard sometimes people forget there are ACTUALLY lower cost options for speed out there.

i've been the bolt on big cam nitrous set up and if done again i will just go the blower route
6 grand for the blower is a lot for the horse power but not a lot for that much streetable reliable power
thats just my opinion from my past with cars

Let us not forget about the weak sauce LSD. Also the A6s dont seem to be having any wheel hop issues like the M6. So you might be fine with the stack axles in a A6 w/an upgrade diff

Oh wow! 500RWHP for $6,000+ for the blower kit! Where do I sign up!
