Default G8 ARH header system sound clip added!!!

So i bought a stryker blue G8 about 2 months ago, the car is faster than i thought it would be! Only problem is it is just so damn quiet, no V8 rumble at all. So i ordered a set of 1 7/8 headers with high flow cats and X pipe. Needless to say i cant wait for them to get here!! They should ship the middle to the end of the week. i ordered them last week so i was kinda surprised it takes so long but quality takes time. Any tips on installing them?

Look out for the dipstick, and be sure to mark your steering shaft if you unbolt it.

Ive read horror stories on the G8 forums about the dipstick. I will document my install just incase I figure and trick out and/or for reference for myself and others.

My advice. First figure out the most logical way to maneuver it out. Two, firm grip, ill say it again, firm grip and PULL! Dont twist it and bend it all up! I believe the bolt that holds it to the block is a 14 or 15mm

Only trouble I had was with the tube. I had it back in but it wasn't the same lol. Livernois installed a new one for me when they did my cam n stuff. It will still be shockingly quiet with stock GT mufflers. I suggest getting some GXP mufflers to make it perfect

First time i had no problem with the dipstick tube, but second time it took me 15 minutes. I was pissed and I'm not sure why it took so long. Before removing it, find where it is located.

It's not just the dipstick location / relocation... disconnect your negative battery terminal as well, otherwise you may find yourself spot welding the dipstick to the starter motor. Ask me how I know

headers and x pipe are in! pretty straight forward install, the dipstick was a pita but other tan that it was cake! i wish i could report some 1/4 mile times but they closed the track due to it being to windy . i wish we would have called first since it was an hour and a half away but you live and you learn. Car is still very quiet but sounds way way better and even thou its not tuned yet its def faster. the arh system is top notch, fit and finish are superb!!!

You'll love it with the GXP axlebacks! It's got a little more at idle but can still be suttle. Wide open will sound great also! I remember being shocked at the lack of sound when I fired the car up after the header and x pipe install with the GT axlebacks.
