If you have a chance you definately have to go drive one. This is one little screamer! Very tight and handles very well for a car of its size.

They are awesome.. They are so smooth and quick that you often find your self way over the speed limit. Gas mileage doesn't seem that bad either!

Just drove a white G8 GT. These things are strong. A beep kept coming on when I went past 45mph which is very easy to do. It said overspeed! What's that????

I would of closed the deal but it didn't have the sports package. The 18's are not the nicest looking rims.

I'm going for base G8 GT if I decide I can't afford the GXP. I'll be looking for all the aftermarket parts, goodies, and doodads I can find.

I'll bet that the GTO ProCharger system will fit with very few modifications! Bob

I'm sure you know how awsome that would be, and how awsome it would be if you happened to start a sale a few day's after I bought the G8....

This Australian tuner has been placing Turbos on the VE Commodore (your G8) for a considerable period of time. He is a listed sponsor on this site.

Here is one of his current projects

Here is a project involving the latest types of turbo

The GTOs have that too, it's just something you can set in the console configuration. Pretty easy to turn off, you just go into the options and turn the overspeed warning off.

i went up to the local dealer who had one that was sold before it got there so i had to just sit and look...very nice car to look at, back seats are easy to get in and out of and suprisingly comfortable. I prefer the seats in the GTO for overall comfort and bolstering, but i wouldnt complain if say coming from a vette or F-body. Salesman was a jackass though, kept telling me wrong information about my GTO (how they realised their mistake and put the good motors in the 06 cars only, which was obviously wrong, so i corrected him and said no they came with LS2's and dual exhaust in 05 as well, and he still said only 2006.....god i hate car salesman that dont know anything about cars....

No, the CTS-V system will not fit. The G8 system is all new, including the supercharger. We are using the MP1900 TVS on the G8, the MP1900 utilizes the 6th generation EATON rotating group.

Very mint! What color did you get?

I took mine home on Saturday and I'm loving it! Bunch of girls over on G8board.com though. I posted a couple races and they keep scolding me about not breaking it in for 600 miles and such. I'm sure they get driven very nicely on the test drives, lol.

Way to bring back an old thread, guys (and a MODERATOR none the less! ). I'm pretty sure this guy has had his G8 for about 6 months now...
