Finally a guy that is honest about the GMM. It is much better than stock, but it is not an ideal design for our cars. I have driven a GMM race and I did not care for the height change when going from 1-2 or 3-4. The bridge design is necessary to keep a uniform shift lever height on all gear positions. The bridge design does increase the number of pivot points however, and can increase the chances of rattling.

the honesty is in how he feels about the shifter not the shifter in fact. the "height change" argument is a joke. inever notice it. i've never seen one post admonishing the crooked feel of the steering wheel even tho it is. it's because no one's ever concentrated on it. (ya, go measure it. it doesn't sit perpendicular with the front). both shifters are much better than stock or anybody else's for that matter but neither is perfect. now that it's been out a while the Billet is starting to get some complaints too (loosening up and rattling)

Billet shifter owner here .... its on the lowest setting and i luv it! I had a B&M before and the POS broke in my hand. I was pissed. Got the Billet and never looked back. Happy since! Every shift is sure, and solid. NO rattle either.

All I am personally saying is that the GMM, while better then stock and better then the B&M I used to have, it still isn't great. It shifts fine, but when I put my hand on it in a forward gear I can easily just play with the radio, lol. It is taller, I don't like how you kinda have to reach for those forward gears. The billet you can shift with your arm on the arm rest if you wanted.....the GMM you cannot. GMM is good, but I think I'd be happier with the billet one, just seems like an all around better shifter.
