Very nice for a bolt-on 2004 GTO. That is almost exactly what I ran at the end of my first racing season with this goat. Could not break into the 12's to save my soul. After a few winter mods, I hit the 12's on my first time out the next spring. Here is what I did at the end of the third season (follow link).

Nice job hey what was your 1/8th ET? Just wondering to compare to what mine ran. I never got the chance to drive to the 1/4.

My best 1/8th mile et of the night was 8.46...my sixty on that run was 1.99...on that run 1/8th mile mph was 84.15 quarter was 106.94 at 13.0500..with a full dyno tune it would have been 12s its just a street tune..just some timeing torque management delete and firmed the tranny up...the run that impressed me the most was a 13.07 pass 84.59 in the eighth mile 107.37 in the quarter fastest mph in the eighth its ever ran

First few mods i would do if i were you would be mickey thompson drag radials and a set of longtube headers preferably catless. Knock the screen out of the maf and give it a good cleanup. Those few things should be at least consistent 13.2s for an average driver.

P.S. Nice runs Jason. Best i could ever get with my 04 A4 w/ bolt ons was 13.24@105. I made the big mistake by running shorty headers with cats instead of going longtubes catless.

My old car had pacesettlers and stock mufflers.. And a shitty drag radial and went 12.8.. I no it had more in it.. But we will never no now.. Nice runs get a nice stall and a good dr and it will be moving..

I guess you should have added stock gto on stock stall goes 13.05 Jason. We all know with a stall and drag radials its fairly easy to cut 12s.

Seriously you guys are happy with those times? My bolt on gto has been 11.71 and still looking for more. Looking for 11.5x before I do anything else to it. If its an auto recommend getting a stall and all should have some good tires then just practice and get as much seat time as possible.

This is for an 04. I see you have the 05. 50hp difference from the factory kinda helps ya out a little. This was an 04 with headers k&n intake some porting done to the tb and intake with a band aid street tune. Stock stall street tires. I have seen plenty of 04's run at the track and never seen one in my area run in the 12s. Yours seems like a freak to be running that fast just bolt ons. Do you mind sharing with the rest of us how you were able to get those times with just bolt ons? Im assuming you are cutting insane 60's like 1.60s or high 1.5s? @ around 112?

Thats cool congrats. With a good 60 that car would do 12.2-12.1s. This thread was solely based on an 04 automatic car, stock stall, street tires, longtubes and cai only. No cam.

This is stock cam and no nitrous?

Cuz you would have to take a lot of weight off to hit that kinda times on just headers and intake + other minor bolt-ons.

I'd believe the 11.7 bolt on pass. If its an auto with a stall and gears it's believable.

I would like to see his mod list though

I ran 12.05 @ 113.5 (2000DA)
CAI, FAST, Headers, Tune.
Manual with stock gears.

I don't believe the 11.70 pass one bit....BOLT ONS does not mean heads cam...it means headers pipes intake etc....not cracking the motor open....
