Default Sun Roof??

I have a 05 and I was wondering if anyone had a sunroof put in on theirs and if so how does it look? If you did have one put in was it by the dealer or someone else? I would love to see a pic!
Thanks!

I've seen quotes as low as $950 and as high as $1400 for this sunroof. Depends on the local labor charges. I paid $1250 in 2004. I could have paid less but I chose a shop that had already installed 2 for a local dealership....better safe then sorry.

No...none came to the dealers from the factory. Dealerships did the same thing I did...they went to local aftermarket shops and had them installed. They were a factory option in the Monaro but it was not offered in the US because it did not meet US safety guidelines. A support beam in the roof has to be cut to install it.

The mirror was installed by the same shop that I had install the sunroof so I'm not sure how difficult it would be. Other people on LS1GTO.com have installed it...there may be a self install writeup.

GT01_OHIO,

do you have any complaints?
noise, (open or shut), ect...

I'm seriously thinking about it.

Absolutely no such thing as a "factory" sunroof on the GTO . . . .

From what I have "read" the GTO has a structural beam down the middle of the roof, thus why no sunroofs . . . nothing to stop someone from cutting it out . . .

I'm seriously thinking about it.
I do have some wind noise with it shut. But it's open 90% of the time and I garage the car in the winter.
