Default GTO Tail Lights

I wanted to know if anyone has purchased the tail light off of ebay. If so are there any fitting issues? I have an 04 and like the black lights from the 05/06 but don't want to pay retail. Here is a link to the Ebay ones.

Should I get them??

I'm not sure if I would trust aftermarket stuff like that. Working in a body shop you learn to try and stay away from things like that. You can get them at gmpartshouse.com for $246 a pair

I'd have to say that I can see both sides of the coin here. I got my '06 tails, and I love them (obviously), but $ does makes a difference in the decision. Some friends of mine bought a set like this, and I have to say it was a great improvement on their Cosmos GTO. *nudges ct to post pics* The fit was straight forward, and there are no obvious mis-alignments in contour - not to say that they fit like the General's own, but these fit pretty damn good. I say for the price you can't really go wrong with them.

BTW: What color is you GTO?

QSM, silver. I just think it will look better than stock 04. I am looking at two for the price of one oem.

I have a set of DEPO brand taillights identical to the ones in the original post (black housings but without the chrome the '06 tails have).

They're totally perfect. No fitment problems at all. I recommend them completely.

those knock offs are 80% of the look. Not close enough.

I've seen the tails he's talking about in person, and I'd have to respectfully disagree with your opinion. These tails are really fckin nice, and the price is right on 'em too. I don't think the company that made them was trying to "knock-off" the '06 tails as much as just make some cool taillights - and I think they did.

I've seen them in person too, but I think how they did the reverse and turn signal section totally ruins them for me, the rest I think is OK.

Everyone has their own opinions, and that's a part of what makes our hobby so great. A lot of different styles and tastes shine through when finding the stuff to make your ride stand out from the crowd. When I saw those tails, I recommended to the buyer that they might spring for some amber APC Titans to finish off the look (Pilot makes chrome-look bulbs as well, but I prefer the nice amber the APC's have in comparison). Maybe if the blinker bulb wasn't so visible, then the louvered look would appear more subtle. I'm sure I've posted these pics somewhere on here before, but in case the readers of this thread haven't seen them...
