Default Looking for GTO accessory information

I'm looking to use the gto setup on my L92 RX7 project. From what I have researched on this site, the GTO uses the same spacing as the vette, which is close to the block. The Fbody stuff is spaced out further from the block than the GTO/vette stuff. So, my question is:
Are all of the alternators the same in all LS based GTOs? I have seen '04 and '05 alternator pictures and the pullies look different. Ultiamtely I want to buy the GTO alternator, WP, tensioner and alt brackets. I wont be using PS or A/C. I want the low alternator placement, and the close to block belt arrangement. Thank you in advance!

they are different between the 04 and 05-06 since they are two different motors.

two different motors you say?? LOL..I can't believe I missed that lol. LS1 to LS2 yes of course. Ok, so the next question is...are the two motors the same in alternator placement? Also, can I use say, an 06 alternator with an 04 bracket or vice versa? Is there an advantage to using the later hardware? Thanks for the help so far guys!

I think the 05-06 alternator is physically larger, but in the same place. The alternators are two different part numbers though. You'd have to measure both I'm not sure on the size, but looking at them the 05-06 looks bigger IMO.

Since you're putting it in an RX-7 the advantage of either would have to be measured in how easy it is in your application. You'll have to make that call. I've heard a lot of guys using vette accesory brackets in S-10 swaps. I was going to use the Vette accessories in my FC RX-7 project, but when I moved I gave that project away since I didn't want to trailer it cross country.

Good luck and keep us informed of progress!!

Thanks summer! I'm doing an FC swap also. As long as either one will fit I'll just go with the lowest price I can find. My buddy has a turbo LS1 FC, and he used all of the F body stuff.Im looking to keep the belt as close to the block as possible. Pics and specs of his car can be found here: http://azrx7.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=9363

The truck alternator runs the belt ????Z???? distance away from the block.

[Vette and G8-GT] are close to the block...same as each other in spacing.

{Fbody and GTO} are same as each other in spacing.

{Fbody and GTO} both 3/4" further away from the block than both [Vette and G8-GT]

You've already been given the full list of Part Numbers.

Pics as per G8-GT front driven accessories.

Yes sir, I have all of the part numbers. I just hope that Katech has the tensioner that will work with the close fitment. Maybe the vette one will work if they dont offer one for the G8?

Yes, Corvette tensioner will work.

If you want a 25% underdrive crank pulley use Corvette also.

Excellent! I thank you for the information sir! I need to find a Katech tensioner, G8 alt + brackets, vette ls2 WP, and the idler pulley and I'll be in business.
