Watch us (re) build a new 2011 Camaro GTS.R!
As many of you know we totaled a car at Mosport. Our new chassis is destined to arrive Monday, and we will be building the entire car in only 4 weeks. We will be doing time lapse photography and have cool video at the end.
However, if you want to see the nitty-gritty of what goes into I will be posting to our FaceBook fan page a LOT, so you should hop and and "like" us to see all the behind the scenes build action.

Ardee Toppe will continue to drive 05. We will have a new 06 back together for Alec in 4 weeks. Lots of late nights ahead..
Alec has been in a car and is fine. He understands its all part of it. Plus he is 15

OUCH! just watched the video on youtube... that was quite an impact!
Glad he is okay. The car seemed to hold up well, good job on the safety aspect. The only thing I saw (if I can chime in with my opinion) and it may have just been the video quality, but it seemed like the seat just about broke loose from the car
Good luck getting the car re-built I will enjoy the pictures coming soon

The seats are mounted such that they move under impact to absorb energy. The seat did not break loose, just FYI. We weld beefy plates and threaded inserts (machined, not stamped) to ensure that never happens.
Thanks for the like! chassis is back from Acid dip...

makes sense.. make sure to include some pics of your brackets, i would like to see the "safe" way to mount a seat as I really need to secure my own a little better. I would have probably been in the back of the car in that same wreck
